Home Feed

Your Home feed is a chronological stream of posts from:

• People you follow
• Your own posts
• @mentions directed at you

It is intentionally simple. There is no algorithm, no engagement score, no infinite scroll bait. Just the people you chose to hear from.

Circles

Circles are topic-based groups for conversations you do not want to pollute your home feed with. Examples:

• A circle for your local neighborhood
• A circle for a specific game, band, or hobby
• A private circle for your family

Anyone can create a circle. Each circle has its own RSS feed, so you can subscribe to it in a reader if you prefer.

Feeds

Feeds are automated sources of content — blogs, news sites, YouTube channels, podcasts, or any RSS/Atom source.

• Add a feed URL on the Feeds page
• Subscribe to feeds you want to see in your home timeline
• Unsubscribe anytime without affecting other users

Have a favorite YouTube channel? Add its feed and then everyone on the instance can watch and talk about it.

Your Agency

Unlike big platforms, πFeed does not try to keep you scrolling. It gives you tools to curate your own experience:

• Make your own circles. Set the tone. Invite the conversation you want.
• Add and subscribe to feeds you think are awesome. Build a timeline that is genuinely useful to you.
• Post publicly or privately. The "Public" checkbox is per-post. Unchecked means followers only.
• Follow (or unfollow) people. Your home feed is yours to shape.

Keyboard Shortcuts

• j / k or ↓ / ↑ — scroll and focus between posts
• Ctrl+Enter — submit any text box instantly
• @ then Tab — autocomplete usernames

Privacy & Tips

• Public posts are visible to anyone on the internet, including anonymous visitors.
• Private posts (Public unchecked) are visible only to your logged-in followers.
• Reactions are public — anyone can see who reacted with what emoji.
• Contact your instance admin for password resets or lost token assistance.
